    Question Resetting ECU in VX?

Im about to get a bigger catback system and i heard you have to reset the ECU as it allows it to adjust to the changes and work more efficiently. Is this necessary? I plan on doing it even if it's not however.

Also, how do i go about it? Ive heard of two different ways...

    1. Disconnect negative terminal of battery... Leave disconnected for a lengthy period of time... Reconnect... Start up... Let it idle for a bit...

    2. Take out Eng Cont./BCM fuse... Leave it out for 10 minutes... Put it back in... Start up... Let it idle for a bit...

Which is the best/most effective way of doing it? Or should i do both? And i noticed there are two BCM fuses.. one under the bonnet, and one under the steering wheel.. should i take them both out?

Thanks in advance for your help
