I just bought a VT and the tyre sticker inside the door says 205/65 15, I have to take the car in for a VIV inspection (not a roadworthy) probably to Regency.
The problem is while all tyres have legal tread every one of them is a different brand and has different tread pattern.
So Ive been told regency is pretty strict and I'm wondering if I put on my silver chasers with 225/60 15s on them and put the hub caps on will it pass? They have the same rolling diameter as the 205/65 but I'm not sure about laws and the width.
In my mind it should be fine as 225's give more grip and they don't stick out of the guard ect but then I've been told to pass a VIV inspection at Regency you'r car has to be pretty much like it just rolled out of the factory.
Thanks if anyone can answer.
i dont see why you would be wrong i think it would be fine
