    Default First Modifications for 79' VB commodore?

    i just bought this little bastard off an old lady yesterday for 850 dollars im looking to do it up. Just looking for peolpes oppinions on what to do first.... Its just the stock SL engine

    spark plugs
    leads
    rotor button
    air filter
    fuel filter
    oil+oil filter
    wiper blades
    clean the lenses on the headlights and tail lights
    fix the rust around the back window (lol)
    change brake fluid, pads rotors
    tyres
    bushes/ball joints
    shock absorbers
    flush the cooling system
    replace the trans fluid and filter
    check all seals, gaskets etc change if necessary
    put a kit through the carby and give it a good tune.


    THEN ask about modifications

    most
    all i need to buy a pair of wiper blades and a new air filter because its not going to be worth cleaing the current one
    theres no rust at all which was quite a surprise it looks as if its been kept indoors for 30 years . .
    im looking to do a whole new exhaust system any advice that might help ?

    First mod on the list would have to be HEI dizzy, coil, leads and plugs from VC-VH blue motor.
    Also the the power supply to the coil has to be modded so the coil see constant +12V.

    actually, while your hooking up a relay for the coil, it couldnt hurt to stick a couple in for your headlights too.

    anyways, once you have done all the tuning and safety items, personally i would move on to suspension. neolathane bushes, especially the sway bar links and sway bar to chassis bushes, youll be surprised how much they tighten up your cornering, then some nice king lowering springs and lowering shocks.
