Im not realy into the froced induction side of things yet.
Do holden make a standard sidemount supercharged engine or are they all top mount.
I know whats involved with a side mount but what needs to be done for a top mount.
Do i need new heads and stuff like that.

the top mount eaton supercharger that holden used to use will not fit your engine easily. even to fit it to a naturally aspirated ecotec takes a fair bit of work. the side mounts youre referring to are probably a different type of supercharger. they are a centrifugal type as opposed to the positive displacement type like the eaton models used on the holden V6. you can get centrifugal supercharger kits for the V6 from capa for example.
what need to be done for a top mount, ive heard about compression but what about heads and computer.
if its too hard ill go for a vortech S/C kit

well, the vortech and the top mount will give you two different types of power delivery. top mounts are good for their ability to provide boost at near idle revs, but if you spin them too hard, they lose efficiency, where the vortech usually wont provise the boost down that low, but builds as revs increase.
