    Default strange over heat

    Ok, cars had no probs with heating but 2 days ago bam raises like almost to the top was a hot day but still, get home let it cool didnt cool alot went out again it was still unsualy hot when was cool out side i dunno if i put water in it b4 lyk i mean prior but had water in the plastic tank ( oh yeh and the tube that blows water into the tank was blowing air to maken water bubble, ive put plenty of water in radiator nd tank nd its goin ok still my eyes on my temp gauge more then road nd i spend time listenen to the thing, im thinkn its just as simple as getn new rad cap wich im putn on soon buh any other ideas nd if a flush how do you do dat for a VR commodore 96?

    iv had the same prob even after putting in a new motor.. DONT drive it as you will be up for alot of money as i just have spent. i would put a new thermostat in cost about $18. give it a good flush out and put new coolent in (youtube Radiator flush). also let the motor run and see if your thermo fan kicks in. i hate thermo fans, i always run mine to a switch so i can turn it on and off by myself.. give all that a try and see how you go.

    iv did all that and my car aint over heating either now.. plus check see if there is milky white oil under your oil cap might have a blown head gasket. as i said before dont drive it till you fix it as it will end up costing you more money then needed.

    sounds like your overflow was run dry and may have sucked some air into the system. burp it properley and it might be ok.

    im still trying to figure out how to flush it proply dnt wana #### it up tho thats all and dunno how to put in thermo still learning bout cars only had license for 9 months thaanks for the help aye ima try do it soon tho

    okk i done that flushed it out nd added coolant runs better guna by thermo stat in case, bout around where there left gasget head is is lyk a leak or sumthin lyk seen coolant running round rim of it not sure y tho ?? chekd oil no white water had no oil so dnt think its head gasget but i dunoo
