Cracked Plenum

Took off my plenum whilst installing some MACE gear and after cleaning it, I noticed that it has an amazon river of hairline cracks/splits. Very small cracks not 'fractures and are only on the surface, they barely go down, just enough to catch your nail on.

I'm most likely going to go to Pick a Part and get myself a new one and polish it up/chrome it, (would love to chrome the whole manifold).

What do you guys reckon? Is it dangerous or the like? Should I definately go get a new one? As far as I have tested, it's not affecting it's structural integrity

it's fairly normal, they are only surface cracks - I've never seen one crack right through
but if you want to polish it up, then yeah you'll need to find one without the cracks if you want it to look decent
