ok i got an interview, some pointers and some tips would be great. what do i need to know to get this job ahha
Go for it,
My local KT&A are great, have my car serviced by them and only them. Ofcourse every place is different but they seem to have a pretty good rep.
Willingness to learn while being interested in the trade and enthusiasm, they'll expect you to be a bit lacking in experience because that's why its an apprenticeship. I had a mate that worked there he said he enjoyed it but moved to a different place mid apprenticeship because he said he wasn't happy doing tyres and brakes the whole time which I'd assume an apprentice would be doing a lot of there. Another thing is even if you don't get the job don't let it get you down I only got offered one job out of all the ones in the trade that I went for and after all that I'm one of the top students in my tech class.
My tip for interviews is sound positive, look neat, appear confident and interested, tell them you are keen to learn etc, but if you get the feeling at the interview that you don't want the job then don't take it if its offered, but K mart should be an ok place to work, they should at least have reasonable conditions for employees and safety etc being part of a large company.
A dealership is probably the best place to go, but Kmart should be OK.
