Just had a thought.
If the air we breathe has about 21% oxygen give or take.
and Nitrous oxide has around 36% give or take.
Would it be possible (I don't care about how safe/practical it would be.) to introduce pure oxygen instead of nitrous?
PS I'm not gonna try it ... just yet![]()

pure Oxygen is HIGHLY explosive if handled incorrectly...
We handle it at work to refill portable oxygen bottle (for emergency breathing) ... and we have to ground everything and used dedicated CLEAN tools to set everything up... ANY OIL contamination can cause a BOOM!
well, firstly it would have to be liquid oxygen for storage reasons.
problems:
-injection
-cost
-storage
even liquid oxygen tanks wouldn't last long especially if you think how much air the car uses. possible in theory but not in practice.
rockets use a mix of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. works very well though not a very safe or cheap.
You're probably wondering where you are. I'll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in. This is your wake up call.
why couldnt you just add it to your air intake @ box level to increase the % going into the engine?
lol wut?
