Default air con/fan doesn't work in vt

    hey,

    my aircon/fan is broken
it doesn't matter how high I turn it on, or what setting I have it on (feet, face, windows etc) I can't feel anything coming out of the vents... I can feel a slight breeze out of the front drivers vent but that's it.

the aircon needs a regas but that shouldn't affect the fan at all should it?

how can I fix this? it starting to get so hot lol and my car gets to like a million degrees in the sun lol

    thanks

Fuses... the fan fuse is in the engine bay i believe...

If thats not blown, then it may be your fan resistor... not sure where it is on your model... if its the same as mine, its under the dust shield in between the bonnet and windscreen.

just wanted to add that it sounds like it is working but no air is coming out... will they check for this problem and fix it when they regas it?

wel, does the fan work or not? when you turn it to 1, then 2, then 3 and finally 4... does it get louder/faster?

if so. your fan is fine... i would say you have a vacuum line problem with the selector.

yeah it sounds like it works, and gets louder depending on the speed I have it on but no air at all comes out... I'm hoping it's something I can easily check/fix myself lol

hey sorry I've just had another look and the problem is that it only blows onto the windscreen no matter what it is set to and there is actually a very slight breeze coming from the normal air vents but it becomes less and less when I turn the speed up... lol

for safety reasons if there is a fault in the vaccum circuit the flaps that control airflow direction point to the windscreen so yo can still see when its fogging
    is a vacum leak check as above /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\

Sounds like the air flow directors are stuck to the window demist position.

went to have a look at it today... turned the car on (well not on... just before on) and turned the fan on to test it again and it was blowing in my face... and it works on all modes now...so I don't know what the problem was but it seemed to fix itself overnight lol... lucky me I guess
    thanks for the help though
