Heat from engine comes into cabin?

Hey guys I have a Vy series 2 ute and everytime I really accelerate the air con cuts out and engine heat fogs up the window or comes through the vents. Is this a common problem? A chick I work with has the same problem in her vy berlina which is leading me to believe it's normal. But I'm unsure...

hey mate i have a vs ute and experience the exact same thing, ive asked around and apparently its pretty common. mine just heats up my legs, good to know you dont have to watse the fuel pumpin the heater in winter but

Nah it probably just wastes fuel pushing all the heat in somehow haha xD
