They sound like utter shit with the X pipe in them and personally I think they're overpriced for the quality.

    Have a squiz here:
    LSx Exhaust systems.

I need to get an in car recording of those systems. The X-force with the Xpipe cut out sounds ALLOT better but still really loud and a bit trashy. (They get a really old school burble under load without the X-pipe)
If you get the mild steel version and remove the X-pipe they're reasonable value.

as said they are not the best,
when I bought my car it had one on it....Its 4 years old now and has big holes of rust on it.
so its time for a new one...
I would say look for a better one, coz there is lots for sale.
as for size ! 3inch is too big...2 1/2 is the right size...

    good luck

X-force is okay if you get it cheap I.e under $500.
Get the X pipe pissed off though.

You can get a whole Pacemaker exhaust system for $2350 off ebay. Extractors, cats and SS exhaust system.

i couldnt complain about the system that was on my vy ss. paccy 4>1's in 1 3/4" with ceramic coating, 3" paccy metal cats, twin 3" x force in stainless. was LOUD but in my eyes...or ears sounded good. only thing was that it needed to be tuned so the fuel cut off is de-activated to stop it popping and farting on overrun.

yes it will loose a tiny bit of bottom end but the gains are alot better in the top end.

i got just the twin 3" to begin with and made no really noticable seat of pants difference.

What does the X pipe do? ... and/or the H pipe?

Xpipe merges the gas after the cats. But the X-force one is horrible. It just smooshes them together and causes more of a restriction then anything.

H-pipe or balance pipe just stops the two separate pipes from vibrating. Apparently can help the flow a little but it does stop some NVH in the cabin. H-pipe doesn't change the sound, the sound will still be a broken lope that you get from two banks of cylinders.

    Basically X-pipes make LS1's sound like 4cylinders.
