price of scrap metal

I have a car shell that i will be selling to scrap and would like to know of a good scrap metal place to take it to. I'm in Adelaide and would like to know different prices scrap metal places are offering per tonne.

Hi Cruzn,

avoid the big companies .

Try for a Scout's Recycling depot which also collect scrap metal.

There is one on Pt Wakefield road opposite Globe Derby Park

Or Corner of Grand Junction and Commercial St Port Adelaide.

My best bet is a place could Normetals on Grand Junction Road. Always paying a nice price

There is a recycling place on waterloo corner road offering 180 per tonne. Easy to find, they have it advertised on a car out front with 180 per tonne spray painted on the side in big letters. They were offering 200 per tonne when I took the wreck there about 3-4 months ago. As a bare shell with literally nothing in it, I got about $80 for it.
