hi is it possible to disconnect the abs sensors on a vt calais as i have an intermittent fault where abs trac control fault lights come on and i loose power steering as well car after a few minutes goes back to normal thanks for any answers damian
Hi damobussi,
I don't own a vt, but I also have a calais (92 VP) with abs. It should be ok for you to just remove the fuses for the ABS controller. This makes the brakes work as a normal model car would have (ABS not fitted) through the brake master cylinder. I checked the holden printed manual for ABS and thats how it says it would work if the fuse blows.
I would try it and give it a test before hitting the open road. If this still gives you intermittent fault, then I would suggest getting it checked out.
