as above im looking at getting some Nite Shades
( VHT NITE SHADES NITESHADES-Night Blackout Tint Spray - eBay (item 190480448714 end time Jan-14-11 01:31:34 PST))
if you are unaware on what im talking about,im thinking of doing either my actual headlights or most likely the stone protectors,my side indicators, and maybe "MAYBE"tail lights
is any of this illegal? im guessing tail lights yes rest im not 100% sure
Thanks in advance
also quick off topic question
in QLD it is legal to have your P plates on the inside of your windows held on by those suction cap things,i got told doing this in NSW is illegal true or false.
Cheers in advance
Òne more question i forgot
alot of my mates here swear on K&N air filters telling me they make a big difference in performance and Fuel
i agree it would make a difference but not a big one
worth getting one or what?
1) night shades can be used on your car (the can does say for 'off road' use only however). Just make sure you do not cover your reflectors or else it is illegal, also if they are way to dark to see breakign then cops will pull you over or in an insurance situation they may not pay out as the person that hit you could claim they didnt see brake lights.
I did it on my old VS and did a stripe pattern on them, looked mean as and unique (and legal)
2) P plater can be on inside of window, cops dont liek it if they are hard to see through tint however, doesnt really matter though.
3) K&N Filter on my car i could tell the difference straight away, car feels lighter and a bit more perky. Is it worth it? I did it to mine (take that how you want)
Tint your headlight protectors not the actual headlights themselves, that way you can take them off at night and have full road illumination.
The panel filter will give you a marginal increase in performance and fuel economy, maybe your mates say they saw a big difference as they combined it with a cold air intake, which would help a little in gains.
if you use night shade they will come out a flat black, a touch of clear coat to make them look more factory. why spend 100 on k@n when you can get a reline or such for half the price and only lose about 5 percent flow from a k@n
ok so the whole p plates is legal in NSW?
and yeh i did notice the "off road use only" see so many cars with it these days
yeh i was thinking off getting a cold air intake instead
Nope, Your P plate must be on the outside of the vehicle at the front and back, and front/rear facing (IE no putting it on the bonnet and boot)
Night shade is illegal, But just dont make it really dark, 1 or 2 coats is plenty dark enough
depends on the officer's mood wether or not he wants to class nite shade illegal
i know a bloke who got told to change his tail lights the other day beacuse he had them nite shaded
