Hey guys,
With EVERYTHING needed for a T5 conversion for my VY, how much roughly would it be?
I see kits on here for around $600-$900 but i believe the VY centre bit may be abit harder to get a hold of.
Also, if i'm putting in a Manual conversion, I would put a heavy duty clutch in so it's grand spankin' new.
What do you check with all the items supplied? Which parts do you check in particular without knowing it's going to be ####ed when you put it in?
All info would be greatly appreciated.
The gearbox??? From personal experience I'd get a second hand reco one with a warranty. T5's are starting to get pretty long in the tooth now. Pretty sure VY's came out with a getrag (or similar) anyway which handled a hydraulic clutch setup.

I'm pretty sure my old VY ute had cable, i thought hydraulic was for VZ onwards?
the getrag 260 was used with the VY ecotech. im fairly certain they used a hydralic clutch.

Well my mates VX with a getrag had a hydraulic clutch so im sure the VY does.
I think VS series one was the last to come factory with a T5, from Series 2 it was a Getrag. Chances are anything VT onwards would have had getrag with hydraulic clutch but dont quote me on that.
Ah well there you go, my bad xD.
Well for that thought, how much more expensive is a Getrag conversion?
