Need to fill my ute up with sand today.
Does anyone know the maximum weight i can have in the tray?
I heard 750kg but not 100%
Cheers
V6 Ute is 750kg all up carrying capacity including passengers you'll find.
I aim to misbehave.
+1 its 750 in the tray with passengers and full tank of petrol
you may want to adjust your tyre pressures and drive like a nana though
No worries thanks for the fast reply
Good little forum this one might have to do some reading
On top of what the maximum load is for an individual vehicle, you also have to make sure you don't drive an overladen vehicle. Your rego sticker will confirm what the GVM (gross vehicle mass) is allowed to be. For most vehicles on a standard license, it's 4500 kg maximum. So, you need to know your vehicle weight (unladen) add on passengers and load and ensure you're under the max. Go over and you'll find yourself staring at a shocker of a fine for driving an overladen vehicle. I narrowly escaped a fine driving a "2 tonne removal truck" from a rental company. Long story short, allowing for the weight of the cab/chassis, the hydraulic loading tailgate and the two adult passengers, there was all of 450kg left for load. Yup, 4500kg allowed and ten percent left for actual goods. I was 1100kg over weight with half a truck-load of household furniture... You're better off with a ute!
