I have 2005 vz commodore recently friend of the family put a tow bar on the car and a day later the reverse sensor is picking up the tow bar is there any way to get around this? without taking the tow bar off all the time?

I assume you mean the neck.. In short no. Also I hope its wired up where it'll disconnect when a trailer is plugged in as well.
