Hey all,
I've got a set of black monza racing seats i have that i want to put into my ute.
The question i have is where do i go from here in terms of insalling them?
Obviously they wont just slide on in. Do i need to go to autobarn and buy adapter rails etc?
Once i have those is it just easy as bolting the adapter rails in then the seats?
Thanks heaps.

come on fellas, surely someone has installed aftermarket seats into a vs....
if u cant get adaptor rails. get a stock seat base and weld 2 1/4 inch bits of metal running left to right. then on top of them weld 2 more bits running north/south, spaced apart as far as your new seat mounting bolt holes are. drill holes in the right spots for the seat mount bolts and bolt her in.
but if u are not 100% confident in your welding abilities pay a pro to weld it up!!
go to street commodores website and there is a bit of a write up in the tech section under interior
thanks fellas.
i may own a ute but i am no welder, i think there is more of my ute smashing an enzo ferrari at the lights then me welding something well.
have you got a link to that write up axemurderer101?
cant link it but go to street commodores.com.au and in the header bar thing (ya cant miss it) where it says stuff like Home Magazine Dvd News Forum ect click on Tech and will show a bunch of catagories where you click on interior, then on that page click on the one which says Issue 90-DIY
Thanks heaps mate, i'll check it out.
Hopefully it answers all my questions.
