Question Need help! Lowering front suspension, please identify this part!

    Hey guys,

Well lowered the rear of the ute yesterday was a great success but today with the fronts i am little lost! Below is a picture of a part that im not sure if i should replace, grease, use as is or what. Anyone who has any ideas or pointers I would be most grateful!

    Pics:

Is it a dry bearing? and should there be more ball bearing in the rung????

    Cheers

COMMODORE VR - VZ NOLATHANE STRUT MOUNT WITH BEARINGS (eBay item 270708171098 end time 20-Mar-11 15:46:11 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats
Look at link. That's what they are and how they are supposed to look like. My guess is that there was a lot of clunking, groaning and grinding coming from your front end every time you turned the wheel.

Cheers ozzypole! So in the link there, it has the bearing inside the yellow ring I assume? And no to be honest there was no noise and even turning the strut mount now its quite but I was just like that cant be right!

the tops and the bearings are stuffed, in the second pic of the rubber strut top,see how its split around the metal ring in the middle, you will keep chewing out bearings if you dont replace that.
as for the bearings, theres a white and a yellow part that are together which holds the bearings in,that has come apart, more than likely due to the tops being stuffed

Haha you're missing all the ball bearings aswell, just get new strut top bearings, almost 70% of the time when you change the front struts the tops will break.
