looking at a 5 speed conversion for my ute always wanted to do it. finally found a cheapish one in reasonable condition and only 10 minites drive. its on ebay and the ad says t5 conversion to fit vn - vs1. i asked th guy thats selling it but hes taking a while to reply so i thought id ask all you chaps in the mean time and probly get a better explanation. why will it only fit a vs1? (mines a series 2) whats the difference?
when did the ecotecs first come out.. find out when they went from the t5 to the getrag. if its after vs1 then you should be fine
ecotec was in the vs that was the change the diff between vr vs is the engine
everything will fit bar the flywheel
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
and the speedo connection is different from vn/p/r to vs, but an easy fix
thanks heaps guyswell from doing some research im thinkin that the problem is that the vs1 doesnt have a hydraulic gearbox and run the buick engine. the vs2 went to the ecotec and does have hydraulic gearbox..??correct me if im wrong. this mean a new engine if im thinking straight

p.s im guessing it was from an earlier model vs that came out before the ecotecs??
All vs v6's were ecotec's man
