    Default eco tec v6 oil water problems

    ok so i purchased a engine off a guy told it was a runner!! put in start up after running for 10 mins radiator fills up with oil please help

    yeah mate theres a f**k load of oil in the radiator an a bit in the oil pan

    yea mate i'd dare say the head gasket it royally ####ed, thats the first place to check if you get oil in the coolant

    should probly ask if its an auto or manual to knock that one on the head

    yeah manual mate yeah pull her apart an have a look the guy i got it off said it also had crank grind an new bearings so maby wen put together hes left something off under the front cover perhaps??? deffanitly be looking at the haeds an front cover cheers on info guys

    yea manual then i'd deafinatly look at heads, the usual spot for it too happen mate

    definitely head gasket mate or if he has worked on it possibly didn't get the heads machined before he put them back on.

    Easiest fix might also be the water pump seal behind the timing cover so if ur heads do come off check that before proceeding further. Also has the timing cover been resealed recently??

    if he didn't machine the heads ( they shouldn't really warp, there cast not alloy ) but if he didn't i'd be doing a compression test, cause if the heads are not sitting right your guarenteed to have compression getting around the gasket one way or another
