How exactly does one take off in an auto racing a quarter mile? Do you plant your foot when the light goes green, do you get the revs up somehow before the green? Also how does a high stall work in this situation? It may sound like a noob question, but I thought no better place to ask..
Plant that foot when it goes green or just do a line locker
id be guessing using a high stall, foot on brake and bring the revs up and off brake on green light. or a transbrake
lol. what a funny thread.
it all depends on how much traction you will get. im guessing you have IRS and a single pegger. probably some stupid-arse 17" rims with zero sidewall flex tyres, so just put your foot on the brake and accelerate till it hits about 2k rpm, then when the light goes green release the brake.
if you get it wrong you will wheel spin.
Sorry if it seems like a stupid thread, just wanted some ideas on how to get the quickest and most efficient take off in a 5.7 auto.
Just go for it and work it out for yourself, i personally wont bring the revs up on the brake, i gained nothing doing it. Hit the gas on the last amber, wait for the green and it's already too late........
