Best Fuel Eco Legal Exhaust

Hi Guys.

I want to put on a new exhaust on the VY. Chasing better L / 100kms & Its because Rusting due to i live right next to the beach.
I'm Looking at a Redback 2.5 Cat Back with a single middle muffler, Yes i know it will drone but i can live with it. As i can Get one for $160 brand new.
The Legal side of things, Does anyone know if this will be under 90DB @ 3600rpm. Law in NSW
I Have searched for at least 2 hours but found nothing on the DB rating of exhausts.

Any Help would be great & No i dont want it to sound like a V8 cause its a V6 Standard commodore & not a race car lol

just slap on the zuast mate - cops/epa won't give a sh1t unless you give it a boot full in front of them
and if it has no reso it is generally loudest around 2500-3000rpm

Well the old vr had the same system and not once the cops worried about it, tbh it was not what you call loud, just wondering if the ecotec would be different.

edals i reckon the buicks were louder.. .. so if your confident enough, get the red back have a listen, get the mrs to do a driveby ( i did ) and see what you reckon, if its too loud adda hot dog to the rear. or a normal muffler to the rear

Well how many L/100 do you get at the moment? If you get less then 14/100 your doing better then me and should be happy

Eh it's 160 bucks I'll just grab it then go from there, I get around 9.6avg, the old vr got about 8.3 on the same trip, ill test the sound with my phone and if needed I'll get a extra muffler added

dont forget that the vy is heavier then vr so that will have a small factor on fuel usage

Nothing to fear about that car sounding like a V8 with any exhaust you fit. I am yet to see any single muffler setup that is anything close to legal.

found out its way over 90DB, have to get a duel system, need to keep boys in blue happy & also not to have insurance void
