I have just bought a damaged vl turbo lsd diff where the plate with the four bolts on the end of the diff is slightly bent.. I've called and talked to a couple of shops and they either say it's stuffed or won't give me a proper quote to straighten it.
So im thinking of just getting a na drum diff, pull everything of it and pull out the gears and replace them with the vlt lsd gears and put in the 28 spline axles with new bearings and seals. I would probably get a shop to do it so the backlash is set right and its all done properly.
Is there any differences with the vlt and non turbo diff housings or are the axles and centre the only difference? And i was wondering how much i would be up for to have a vlt diff centre and axles fitted to a na diff with new seals and bearings pressed in?
The axle could be bent on the side the housing is bent.
i hope not..the axle that was on the side that got hit was/looks brand new. it was put in after the accident.
