Oil question

quick question cos im a fair dumbshit with cars.
my gfs car (VZ Exec) needs some oil and her manual says to use 10-30. ive got a full bottle of 5-30 from ages ago and wondered if there would be any issue with using that instead?

It would be fine to use as a top up, but I wouldn't use it if changing the oil. But only use it if it is the same type as is in the car now, eg mineral or synthetic. The service sticker on the windscreen may tell you which oil is in the car now.
