    Default Carpetting the rear

i have been thinking of getting some carpet for the tray of the ute, to completely line the tub. i have been thinking of some sort of marine carpet, like that in boats (so it can get a little wet), but is it really worth it.

pretty much, what carpet would you recommend? (dont want it to be too expensive.)
what way should i attach it in the back, (velcro/self tappers/bluetack)?
i will be putting a rubber mat on top of this, it's really to neaten up the back (lots of scratches/dents in the tub) and protect the sides.

has anyone done this before and have any hints/tips that could be useful.
and which colour would look good, as the car is black

    thanks

might just go to the carpet shop today see what they think, or just go to bunnings.
might aswell try velcro or just let the bottom part sit in to be able to access the fuel tank area if required.

ill see how i go. but if you do have any tips let me know

yeah marine carpet is what ill use, went to the local carpet shop and the guy said you can pretty much wash it, thus making it ideal.
he did say about using Contact adhesive to permanently fix it down, ill have to look into that side of thing i guess.
he was saying it might be a tough ask to find strong enough velcro.
guess ill just have to keep looking into it, should be a fun weekend project.

also need to figure out a way to get it over the wheel arches, or if to do them seperately

just spoke to a neighbour, who suggested a tub liner.
has anyone ever used one and is it well worth it?
