diff swap

My VS ute has diff problems. I have a lsd here out of a sedan (live axel) I was wondering if both diffs are the same? I think the shocker mounts are different (I dont have my ute diff here at the moment to make comparisons) can I use the sedan diff? will I need to change the shocks or make mods?

Yes, the shock mounts are different on the utes and sedans, it won't fit.
