Default looking at upgrading to either vy R8 or late model ss

    hey fellas,
just strating to do some research on the vy r8 manual through to 2010 model 8s.
i know for around $25-35,000 i can get a decent 8. just kinda weighing up to pros to cons and the wants and needs.

kinda tossing up between the vy r8 and the 07-09 ss.
i know the r8s more power and all that basic stuff.
if anyone own either one could u post ur personal pros and cons. and common problems.

    cheers

A VY R8 has 260kw - 6L VZ's (not HSV) and all VE SS' have 270kw from memory?

I agree with axemurderer - a VZ clubbie looks the goods and goes hard from the factory. This is only my opinion but I look at the VE's and see a giant plastic bubble whereas the VY-VZ's look aggressive.

The VY and Z's also had IMO a nicer interior than the VE. Didnt feel like you were in plasticland.

I'd go for the VE if you can afford it, mate! I'm going to sign a contract on the weekend for an MY11 VE SS if the price is right ...

I have worked out it will cost me about $17.50 more per week in daily costs than my MY10 VE SV6 and about $25-30 per week in loan repayments.
