hey guys just thort id ask this but is it worth buying a vs sedan V6 cant remember what series all this works been done by my old man and his mate!!
Here's whats had done to it:
* new V6 motor that had done 190XXXkms
* new trans not sure how many kms
* resprayed same color
* ssl springs, lowed struts, and lowed shocks
This is what needs doing that i know of
* new screen in the back
* parcel shelf needs to be welded up (because of previous owner)
* new front seats(they have both collapsed on the inside rails)
* needs new electric motors in front doors for elec windows
* needs new indicator stalk
he said he'd sell it to me for $2000
theres probably more to add but i cant remember and ill post photos tomorrow when theres lite
Redbook
Says value is at $1,700 - $3,800.. So its a decent price. However it needs a fair bit done too it... Is he going to help you with that? If so, and its registered, then Id say thats a good price. However depends on how much you value the car. New paint gives it a fair kick towards being in "fantastic" condition.. Also that is VERY low K's on the engine for a VS..
I know I haven't really 'answered' the question... But thats my opinion
Edit after seeing photos: GET IT ;P
However rego still an issue. Depends if you have money to register it. But photo's have plates so maybe its still registered
apart from the rear screen and parcel shelf. all the other things can be fixed quite cheap and easily. it looks to be in good condition. if the mechanicals are good id say buy it.
If its rego'd and ready to go. Id say buy it mate. Rear screen should be all of 150 - 250 installed depending on where you get it done, dunno about the parcel shelf.. But its not somthing you have to worry about untill rego is due.
Its had a fair bit of work done, as you said, low K's, looks pretty much new from the outside.. $2k? Bargain because its registered.
I give it a definate do it!
yeh thanks buddy the only resone i said the parcel shelf needs work is coz of a previouse owner cut a hole there for a sub so i got a nice 10" hole to weld up and i can get a new screen for $80 so yeh but ill get my old man to iron out the kinks for me before buying it
Why weld it up? There is perfectly good ducktape available for purchase from your local Coles store :P
looks like a clean vs, and yeah it needs some work but if your after a vs most of them you will find need at least one if not a few things done to them anyways, plus if just say your dads had it since it was brand new then if you buy it it keeps it in the family sorta thing, and if you dont buy it for 2000 im sure alot of other people would
tell your dad to stop being a jew and give u the car
New motor & trans = Get it before he sells it to his mum.
Also, just maybe you want to edit out the epithet about the old man..
To be honest mate you can do alot better for that price
