Does anybody have some recommendations for tyres 235 x 18" ?
I am looking to spend up to $250 each tyre if necessary. Had a quick look at TOYO TEO today and looked good but thought id get some feed back on what others recommend before shelling out.
Would love to hear peoples opinions.
I'm running Nexen tyres on my car and havent had any probs with them, for being cheap tyres the grips surprises me.
I havnt seen the Nexons before? ill google
The Toyo's look great, hoping for a quality tyre that will handle the occasional spirited driving.
Another tyre I was looking at is a Falken RT615 for just over $200 per tyre. appears to be more a sport tyre if anyone can comment on its characteristics
What Nexens Mate? I had N3000s and found them utter shit !
I bought $95 tyres and they are sooooo much better lol
Really I have found its pretty hard to find a shit tyre in a low profile these days, the nexens were $250 each, then went to $95 tyres and they are much better. More $ does not always mean better.
Look are the Tread Wear number, Anything below 340, Temp A And traction AA and will be sweet.
I had nankang nsII, payed about $200 each and they were an awesome tyre for the price.
maxxis maz1 are ok for
dunlop sp sports fast response 235/40R18 95w. don't know if you'd buy them for $250 ea but there was an ad on tv last night that stated that beaurepaires are doing 25% off dunlop tyres if you purchase 4. worth a look. i run them on my vt and i'm very happy with overall performance and so damn quiet.(a mate runs toyo's on his vu ss ute and gives them the big thumbs up )
Have Kumho KU31's on mine, wet and dry grips levels are pretty good. Not sure about wear though as they have only been on for a few thousands k's.
heya mate iv had nexens and thier ok not the greatest but not the worst for a cheap tyre thier alright i got 18" 245 TOYOS and thier great i woudl say although mine are getting a bit low, Falken i have also been told wear out quickly But that could just be my boss talking shit cause his wife has 18" and hes driving the work car =P
but yeah id go toyos mate
My Vs " Liberator 1" =)
Side note : A V8 doesn't kill, the ######## driver who cant handle one does
LOL!

Has anyone experience with the Michelin Pilot sport 3? I called around today and its the Michelin, Toyo TEO or the Kumho that seems to get the big thumbs up
So, any experience with the Michelin pilot sport 3 anyone?
i had some Dunlop SP Sport 3000a on my car 235/40/R18 and they had great grip and traction and were great in the wet (only for 80% of the tyres life) but they have only JUST lasted around 1 year and cant justify paying $250 per tyre if they only last that long so i have bought some Kumho Ecsta asx on there now and they have a better grip and tread life rating then what my dunlops had
Cheers guys. Im deciding on either the TOYO TEO $215 a tyre or the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 at $250 a tyre. Will be booking the car in for Sat morning.
Thanks for all the comments its been real helpful.
this is where i get mine from, they are in richmond, nice and easy dont stuff you around and cheap
