    G'day mate,
I cant see them knocking you on a set of speakers, unless the install is dangerous. eg. sharp edges or protrusions.

    cheers

Unless youve cut into the parcel shelf and what not, it shouldnt be an issue.

For your blue slip, the inspector will be checking safety related items inside the car like the seat belts retracting fully and seats being securely mounted. Holes cut into the door trims should not be a problem provided they are neat and have no dangerous edges which can cause injury.

The blue slip examination is more thorough than the pink slip because the car has been unregistered for a specified period of time, but as long as it is in good condition and all mechanical components are in sound condition and there is no obvious safety related defect present, you should be ok.

The backrest movement could be a problem depending on how thorough the examiner is. The ratchet set up on the old VN-VS seats was crap and could wear badly. There is a thread somewhere here about repairing the ratchet to eliminate looseness and it might be worth having a look. I'm hopeless trying to link to other threads so perhaps someone else can help here. I do recall that it was in the "How To" section, though.
