Default Car Key'd - or not...

    Hi all,

    Just venting!

Noticed this morning a scratch that runs from my the passenger side light to about half way past the door. Now, the thing is, the scratch is about 1.5mm thick but not deep (can't catch my nail in it).

The line is defo by hand (same as the wavy look you get when someone keys your car)

    but what i can understand...

If you want to key someone's car, you do it to cause damage... this will prob buff out once i've clayed the area, used some scratch x 2.0, polish & wax.. so its bloody annoying.

    why do people bother!!

    B**tards

So far cost me about $90 (Scratch X 2.0, Clay Bar kit, New Polish & 2 x Applicators).. hoping nothing more than that other than time.

Because it's not deep, it should polish out (I hope!)

Maybe mate ... but thought i would notice that..

that's what i struggle with, if someone wanted to key it... they would of caused major damage.

Tell me about it, jeans, zippers etc.... lol

Problem is Pickles half the times the courts can't get you reimbursements anyway (If you're talking about insurance that might be different) Our car got broken into and they wrecked the drivers door, Hubby took off after him to catch him while I rang police and the guy stabbed hubby in the shoulder with a screwdriver. It went to court and he got off all charges & didn't have to pay for the cost of replacing the door, we got told can't get blood out of a stone, The police were fuming because apparently he was suspected of breaking into a heap of cars in our area but they couldn't prove it at least with our car hubby had grabbed him. Thankfully that was just a crappy magna though. Hubby did have a conversation with him too asked him why he touched his car, the guys answer was "he wanted somewhere to sleep" lol

As for why you'd belt a guy, if it was one of our cars we have now I guarantee hubby would belt him first ask questions later & stuff the consequences. Some people just don't think of claims and when someone damages your car it tends to make you want to react in anger. I myself being female wouldn't belt someone but I'd be yelling, kicking and screaming :P
