Hey there guys,
I was looking at getting a stage II shift kit + corvette servo for my Vx, and I came across two brands of shift kits on ebay... B&M and Transgo.
The B&M is around $80 while the Transgo is around $220! Is there any major differences between them besides the price?? Below are the links for them.
B&M
T700 4L60E B&M SHIFT IMPROVER Kit VR TO VZ commodore | eBay
Transgo
Holden Commodores Shift Kit Suit 4L60E VR to VZ V6 & V8 | eBay
Any personal experience/advice on either one is appreciated.
By the looks of the picture the Transgo kit has ALOT more little parts. Keep in mind I know nothing about transmissions and want to try and learn as much as possible along the way
Cheers
Well from the info, I'd like the transgo just because of this:
"This kit also offers TransGo's Famous Any RPM shift when shifting with the lever. Not only will this still shift Automatically in 4th/Drive it will allow better manual control when shifting with the lever.
Other Upgrades included in this kit are TransGO 0.500" Boost Valve, Universal Lockup Valve for Worn Valve Body's and Re-Designed 1-2 Shift Valve. "
Hmm okay then... Worth the extra money you reckon?
the b&m one is just a seperator plate, where as the other one also has a boost valve... id buy the b&m one and source a boost valve else where...
