I'm sure on my VZ commodore, if I turn the engine off when the windscreen wipers were on, they would return to the home position...
After a bit of rain lately in my sportswagon (series 2 omega) I found that the windscreen wipers stop where ever they like....
I'm taking my car back for warranty for a couple of other things I just thought I'd ask the question to see if they are all like this or is something not right?
While I'm at it to avoid another post although not relating to the title of this thread.. Another problem I've had is with the throttle or transmission... sometimes if I put my foot down the car doesn't appear to react for a second or so... only intermittantly... most of the time its fine, its like the throttle is getting stuck or something.... I also found today that I was just cruising with my foot on the accerator pedal just keeping a constant speed, then suddenly the car reved... either the throttle was sticky again and it just gave way or the transmission is playing up and it just went to neutral or something.. when the car reved I took my foot off the accelerator cause I didn't want to go any faster, so I don't really know what the car would have done...
Anyway thank anyones comments in advance...
Good questjon about the wipers, my MY08 sedan often does the same ( probably always its just that i fluke it in the right spot sometimes so i don't notice.)
Really don't know why they would have programmed them like that. My guess is that holden either forgot about it, or it would have cost another 10cents in the programme so they left it out, OR its used to keep the wipers out of the way while performing some kind of service procedure on the car ?? Not sure what that would be though.
Ask and let us know. I always feel like a nob when i park my car in a carpark and the wipers are in the middle of the windscreen !!
