    Default Diff gears question

Sorry if its been covered, my internets been capped and it takes too bloody long to seach. I just bought a new car and it has diff gears, so the speedo is out by about 20+ kays, and im assuming its the reason the km/Litre and all the rest is out. Is it a simple fix and cheap fix? or am i going to have to deal with it?
    Cheers

If you know someone who does memcal tunes for VS's,then these settings can be adjusted in the memcal. No need to stuff around with speedo corrector kits or whatever..Also when its been adjusted in the memcal the auto trans will shift at the proper times too.

That sounds easier. How much is a memcal compared to a corrector kit. Sorry im completly new with vs's and 5L's altogether, big step up from a 6 cyl vl lol. Also it has a manualised auto, so i shift for it

Ive done a few of these now for VS's where guys have fitted lower diff gears,And it fixes both the speedo and the auto shift points, I do this by adjusting the speed sensor ratio in the memcal to suit the diff ratio.Theres actually a formula to work out ther right speed sensor ratio to suit whatever the diff ratio may be..Both the speedo and auto trans use this speed sensor signal for their operation.Actually, when Ive test run these memcals that have been adjusted to suit a lower diff ratio,it puts my speedo and auto shifts out to buggery as I have the standard 3.08 diff ratio...Id charge about $20 to adjust the speed sensor ratio in the memcal, but I can only do the V6's as I have no way of testing the V8 memcal, and I wont send out a memcal that has not been tested first..

cheers for that, the shift points dont matter becuase there is no drive gear and i have to constantly change gears for it, it is pretty much a clutchless manual. like what the v8 supercars use.
