Hey guys its a simple question ive been looking on tempe tyres website and woundering if i can get some quick answers for two questions which i been looking for, for past 2 hours.
On their website priceing for example 19x10" is $1045 is that per wheel or per set? because it doesnt specify ( it doesnt bother me because im gonna get 19x10 on rear and 19x8 on front so it helps me kind of ).
Also anyone got photos of their simmons in the Gloss black centre?
i was under the impression that was per wheel

hmm, sweet as thats what i was thinking. which works out alright cause either way im gonna have to spend heaps to get the mixed sizes, it might be better just to go in and sort it out with em, might get a deal on the buggers.
you are not seriously going to spend that much on a simmons wheel... surely....
well its the only place i found that has them brand new in Gloss Black . if u know anywhere else then please tell me.
you can get billit wheels for half that, stuff paying 4g for wheels without tyres, dunno how they justify such a stupid price
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
pretty sure that price would be for a set i think... email them and find out cause i know the prices they gave me were for a set not per wheel
and who pays $1000 for a wheel??? i would never drive the car cause id be afraid of damaging them although if youve got the money then good luck to you![]()
As suggested, pricing is per rim.
I'd also be considering Intro's if you're willing to fork out big money...
lol thats fair enough considering i probably should have googled some info about simmons before replyingHaha, quoted for the lol factor
mhmm ive always like simmons on a commodore, looks tough in my opinion.
really if you wanna nice ride, your not gonna go out and by shitty wheels that look like trash 2nd hand, well thats my opinion id prefer to get something that really brings out the carbecause everyone knows the first thing people look at are the rims on any car.
I think there over rated... Plenty of nice quality rims out there without spending 1G per wheel
hmm well what others u suggest?
...that and Simmons are so hard to get nowadays (AFAIK they still havent been put back in reproduction).
You bugger a rim and youll feel a right twat.

didnt know tempe sold genuines? i know mine are dead set copies of a wheel made in america loli thought that ones that tempe were selling were the "reproduction" simmons
well this is what my research brought me...
After simmons shut down shop awhile ago, tempe tyres bought out all the tools to recreate the FR series simmons ( no other models ), when they bought these they decided on ideas for the FR20 ( which comes in a 20"x8 through to a 20"x14 ) and also coming out with a heavily reinforced FR22 ( which also came out in these sizes ), using different reinforcements then what simmons was originally using which is ment to have created a "stronger and better quality" quality.
Although these rims are very close if not almost identical to the originals created in simmons factories, there are minor differences ( mainly in the different reinforcements in which tempe have put in ). Although expensive these wheels come out brand new asif bought from simmons.
Dont hold me to word with any of this information as you shouldnt believe everything you hear on the internet.
What i've read in Tempe site, they have all the old Simmons molds/tooling and will be making all of them, even Tony Simmons helping out.

No offense but your going to run wheels worth more then the car?
simmons have always been close to 1000 bucks a rim, so the new price is nothing to bad
