I would assume so as they go over all your load and width markings etc.
    That's why walls are illegal.
I could be wrong though, but I would assume so.

Fair call mate, it does look so nice with the silver stockies and white porta walls.
As for actual walls, yes, they are illegial.
They shave over the wall of your tyre to make it smooth for the paint which elimates all your tyre info and can actually be quite dangerous.
This mob here: Instantwhite Walls | Facebook apparently do 'legal' walls that don't shave off all your tyre ratings etc.
Maybe get in touch with them?

There you go, a real educated answer from someone who's used them.
    I was just assuming haha.

I think you just put air in the tyre and they stick not sure but i no they dont like going over 100 flapping is a problem at high speeds.

The ones on my old car never had problems going over 100, and the car also passed pits with them on it too.

So technically you could just walk up to a set and peel it back to the bead with your finger tips?

They are like 3-4mm thick rubber. When i got mine put in the guy said they are meant for "textile" tyres im not really sure what that means though. You just have to keep an eye on them to make sure they arnt popping out.
