difference in springs

ive been looking at buying some new springs to lower my car and just wondering whats the difference between v6 and v8 also sedan and ute

Should do a search but v8 is heavier then v6 so putting v6 springs in a v8 will make it sit lower same with sedan and ute sedans heavier putting in ute springs will make it sit lower.

this is correct.
V8 springs in a V6 will make it sit higher then it should, and vice versa.

yes, V8 springs are more heavy duty, reason is to hold up the heavier V8 motor in the front.
