Transmission cooling lines into radiator?

Hi, I changed my radiator a while ago in VY V6 and when I was finished I noticed a small washer left over, that had kind of a blue coloured coating on part of it. I thought it was probably off one of the tranny fluid lines where they screw into the radiator?

Anyway, there were no leaks so I wasn't too bothered about it, however now the bottom line is just starting to drip a touch of fluid.

Is this where the washer should have been? Going to be a pain in the ass to re-fit that washer without dropping the bottom raddy hose and losing all coolant, but I'll give it a go.

i dont think so. usually they are a fare nut. which dont use washers.

Ok, in answer to my question, I jacked it up and got under to have a look. Undid the leaking bottom line and sure enough, they are different from the above photo. The nut is square, not flared and the washer goes on the piece of trans fluid line that goes into the radiator connection, then the nut tightens up and the washer seals it.

Maybe changed fittings on VY or VY series 2?
