    Default What Extractors

What extractors would best suit V6?

My brother has a VX, Seems to have 2 1/2 cat back exhaust like me.. but only difference is he has blue extractors under the hood.. Im guessing pacemaker?
It sounds really good.. Barely heard when top gear is reached while cruising.. but sounds nice when cruising around at a low speed..

I want to get my car sounding similar... so Im looking at getting a set of extractors.. so what would be the best?

I'd say Pacemaker probably are the best, and yeah they have a light blue coating. But if you're going to fit them you should probably change to a high flow cat at the same time because it will be a big restriction otherwise, and you won't really get much benefit or better sound if you leave the factory cat.

I have Pacemakers, a high flow cat and a 2.5" cat back btw.

Being blue, they would most likely be Pacemakers. You don't need a high flow cat, it is not in the least bit restrictive on a V6. All it will do is make it louder.

Which extractors are the best? Depends on what you're trying to achieve. Pacemakers are a very good product, but will you gain an EXTRA $150-$200 worth of performance out of them over any other brand seeing as they are about that much more expensive.

I can do you a set of Wildcat extractors and a Manta 2 1/2" cat back for $585 shipped. You would probably pay around that just for Pacemakers.

i have to admit getting extractors and high flow cats really help the v6 sound better... however you do pay a lot to get them
btw i have pacemakers twin highflow cats (100cpsi) and a 2.5in catback and it sounds pretty good for an ecotec

I fitted pacies to my VSV6 because the passenger side exhaust manifolds Id fit kept cracking and leaking,I went through about 3 or 4 of them. With the pacemakers fitted,I noticed better fuel economy when cruising, the engine temp also ran slightly cooler than before with the standard manifolds, and the dredded droning sound from the exhaust went away, which was excellent, as it used to be very annoying at certain speeds.

You will get a similar note with just about any brand of extractor. I would challenge anyone to tell the difference driving the same car with different extractors on it.

Wildcats are easier to fit too, no welding so you could do it all yourself.
