ive been cleaning up my project car at least trying to anyway, and the roof is covered in little brown dots of tree sap ive tried 2 types of bug and tar remover on spray on and liquid polish type ive also tried cut and polish both heavy and light and this crap wont budge ,does anybody know how to get this crap off my roof as im just about to sand and repaint it and would prefer not to have to do that if i can help it, anybody have any suggestions that actually work as ive already spent about $60 on stuff that dosent work.
My two suggestions at first would be a clay bar, or wax and grease remover and a strong arm... Maybe post in the car care sponsors section asking what he would suggest..
is wax and grease remover like prepsol?
Hey mate clay bar will be your best bet
seriously, if you want it off head to bunnings and go into the paint section and get a spray can called "goof off" Its insane stuff.. I'll put my house on the fact it will work...

prepsol will wipe it off like it was never there. damp rag, let the rag sit on it for about 5 or 6 deconds then wipe it off.
then drink a beer.
thanks for your help all,ill try your suggestions starting with prepsol because i can use that when im painting other stuff too .

Kerosine its cheap, wont hurt the paint and it is soluble in water.
