Hi guys
I've done a bit of searching but havent really found an answer to what I'm looking for and I'm hoping someone may have a direct answer?
I'm buying a set of VE 16" interceptors off ebay and i was under the impression that they would fit straight to my VX. But i have read that they need to be machined or something of the like to fit?
Is this right? If so where would i need to take them to have this done? if i need to have this machining done, i was planning on getting it done before i get them powdercoated.
Could this machining be done on just the rim itself or would they need my car to get measurements or something to see what the wheels will be fitting?
Sorry for the questions, i know to alot they may be obvious but to me i have no idea LOL.
cheers in advance![]()

The centre bore needs to be machined a bit, i'm not sure only the exact measurement. It generally isn't recommended on VE Steelies because the metal is very thin, compared to the thicker alloy centres of the alloy VE wheels. I'm not sure how much it would cost being in Brisbane, but it would probably be $20 - $65 a wheel. That's the range in price i've seen shops charge.. But again, its a bit iffy doing it on a stock VE wheel.

been done many times and ive even done it myself on my vx calais, never had a problem when i had them on, was around 50 a wheel or sumthing cant remember was ages ago now
Ive got them bored and sleeved on my VE ceptors.. Not sure on the measurements or prices but ive also been told around $50-$80 a wheel.. Make sure they put in a new sleeve, as that is the strong point of the wheel..
Ok thanks for the responses guys!
