Depends if you want a nice looking car or an ugly one....If you want a nice looking car, i'd suggest keeping the VR SS. If all you're after is cheap power then get an LS1.

Yes, yes I do. I personally think that Holden dropped the ball a bit after VS. Ugly probably isn't quiet the right word, but they just don't do it for me.

VR/S SS are a very tasteful looking car, a VX SS is not.

    (that's obviously all IMO).

I have had VN VR and VX SS's and the VX is just so much better, first time I drove my VX SS I was amazed at the difference, I bought the VX SS brand new.
When I look back at old photos I do have a soft spot for the VN SS I had, but the VX SS is so much better overall. I like them all though nothing wrong with any of them really.

Looks wise, VR SS....there is something that Holden just got right about a VR/VS shape, they are just goddamn sexy, when tastefully modified.

In terms of a drivers car, for comfort, power, etc....I'd choose a VX SS. Newer chassis, more insulated, better A/C, more powerful motor.

    +1

Actually the only shape after the VS that I actually liked was the VE (although I didn't like the new alloytecs and sidi engines, IMO they are too smooth and too quiet you don't even notice them running without spending a decent amount on an exhaust system)

The VT/X/Y/Z just didn't appeal to me what so ever.

So looks like I am keeping the VS until the VF is released and I can pick up a cheap VE

I will admit the VX will be superior in almost every way to drive but in terms of style the VR has it in spades
