Question Back end "wiggle" over bumps

Driving along today @ 80kmph, went over a series of shallow bumps in the road... maybe 20m of them all under the driver side of the car.

Anyway, going over the car felt a bit like it wanted to pull towards the driver side and after the bums the back end of the car felt like it wiggled...

Like, felt like a little fishtail. But really small.

Like, just enough that I felt it but not enough to have to correct the cars path.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like you went over 20m of bumps at 80k's. Just my thoughts.

I wouldn't be concerned... mine does the same on a one particular stretch of road near my place. At 60, no problem...but at 80+ it gets be worse... then the bumps space out and it stops.

Man... if I asked all my questions in one go it would be an essay of a opening post....

Didn't get an alignment when I lowered it, might organise one for this weekend and go from there.

I had a similar issue where it wobbled from the rear end a little...turned out my upper trailing arm bushes and pan hard rod bushes were cactus replaced both and it stiffened the rear end up a lot

You have a VS, he has a VZ, totally different rear ends.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it Jesterarts, pretty normal for a car to do that. Get the alignment checked anyway as even the front being out can make the rear do weird things.

Sweet... thanks for the responses guys.

I've gone ahead and booked it in for an alignment and inspection for this saturday.

Bushes sound like the most likely cause since to my knowledge it's still running OEM components after 120K and increased stress on the suspension due to power increase.

If it turns out to be the bushes, might try and get the dealer to replace them under warranty...
