I bought some ve supersports and in the process of getting them drilled to fit VT s. Question is will can the VT wheel nuts still be used when running ve rims or do you have to buy a special set to fit these types of rims?
VE wheel nuts are different to pre-VE commodores. Your VT wheel nuts will be fine.
I'm aware the ve nuts are different because of the different size studs but was just curious if i had to get different nuts to suit.
Have you already got mag wheels on the VT or steel rims?
Just the stock 1999 stock vt s rims mate.
Ok, i'm pretty sure that would have come out with alloy wheels. If so then you will have no problems with the wheel nuts. I think that the wheel nuts on the steel rims are different but you should still be able to use them. The supersports should look awesome on the VT S mate, make sure you upload pics once they are on there.
Thanks buddy. Hopefully they are a head turner. Was tossing up between the supersports and ve gts rims. Will do!!
No problem, I was deciding between the supersports and the VY signatures for my WH Statesman. I went with the VY sigs just because I could get them easier and cheaper, otherwise I would have got the supersports. Should look very nice.
Got a set for $2400 with 90% tread in imac condition. Thought i'd pay extra cash to get goodc condition ones. Now got to get them drilled.
Thats not bad. I got the sigs brand new without tyres for $2330, but the other thing is mine are 19" and yours are 20". I had to get the rims on my VS machined because they came off a WM Caprice, cost me $65 per wheel to get that done.
