Hi all,
I've recently moved from the northern suburbs of Brisbane to the western suburbs where it is considerably colder in the morning. I pretty much drive 12km up the highway from home to the railway station and seem to be using more fuel than normal. Sitting on the highway, I'm using minimal amount of throttle and can't understand it. At the moment, I'm not sure quite how much extra fuel is being consumed, the gauge is just going down a little quicker.
Is it normal for a vehicle to use more fuel in colder weather?
I thought it may be possible if the auto-choke stays active for longer.
Thanks!
