Ok so I've got the Whiteline 4 Point Camber kit and I took the car to pedders to get a wheel alignment and as I havent had time i asked them to fit the camber kit for me... Bloke calls me up 3 hours later and tells me he doesnt want to install them cause they're one of the worst designs on the market and you have to drop the whole rear of the car to install them and then its really difficult to adjust the camber
His solution was to install a $800 pedders kit to which i politely said no just do the best you can with the factory stuff and leave it at that... He also mentioned a whole heap of other stuff which is apparently broken and that they can fix for god knows how much
This is the second time ive been to the same place and I didnt have a good experience last time so i wont be going back
What i want to know is how hard is it to install them? Can someone give me some step by step instructions and a photo of how they should look once its done... Even just a photo would be really helpful
first thing is first, why the f**k did you go to pedders! they are fkn stupid.
let me get this straight, you told him you wanted a whiteline camber kit fitted and he had a bitchfit and said he couldnt do it, after he agreed to fit it? and then offered you a massive overpriced pedders kit and then said tonnes of other stuff was fkd? *ALARM BELLS*.
i have installed both pedders and whiteline irs kits and there is no difference in fitting them, and imo the whiteline has a little bit more adjustment.
there just trying to get up you.
pedders likes to get as much money as they can out of you..

I personally have always gotten excessive quotes from pedders for different things including bush kits and shockers amongst others and always found that going elsewhere to get prices for the same parts as they quoted at alot less and then either installing myself or getting it installed always works out way cheaper then a pedders job all up. In saying this does anyone think that there safety checks are worth getting or just a waste of time?
Piece of cake to fit just the inners Mate take about an hour with a 4wheel alignment. U can do it by yourself with a long threaded bolt, some washers a block of wood and a prybar - for the outter kits I like to remove the arms it's alot easier an quicker but if your car is low already just out the 2 inners in which does both camber and toe - u will end up with even good equal toe and drop anywhere from 1 ton2 degrees off your negative camber - I like super pro (Holdens bush kit) they have more acentric bolt and less bush giving more adjustment and can get them trade account from bursosns for under 100hucks
yeah i know but its the closest place to home and i figured surely a wheel alignment isnt going to cause me any troublefirst thing is first, why the f**k did you go to pedders! they are fkn stupid.

The bloke showed me the camber kits they use and they are a new design where you put a bolt in each end which makes it a lot easier to put in and adjust... also said that the whiteline lines when you adjust them actually wear out the holes in the chassis for some reason
The ones he showed me did look good but for $800 fitted it isnt going to happen... the only reason im worried about the whiteline ones is how he said they can wear the hole in the chassis out which kinda makes sense
Just dont know how they can justify $800 for a camber kit
I can't believe you actually went to Pedders a second time.
Wasn't the first visit sufficient to warn you what they were like?
They don't have to justify their prices to anyone - they just rely on tools who can't do the job themselves driving in and leaving the job for them to do.
ive never heard or anyone ever having problems with any of whiteline's stuff.
i have a superpro camber kit, and i payed $200 fitted for it. no problems yet
If you are fitting it to a VY you only need a 2 point kit as they have the control link and voided inner bushes.
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
just one of those moments in life when i realise im prone to acting like a retard... riuned my day thats for sureI can't believe you actually went to Pedders a second time.
yeah neither had i which when he started mentioning all this stuff it didnt make sense... he showed me their ones and they do look a lot easier to use but not $600 price difference easierive never heard or anyone ever having problems with any of whiteline's stuff
