Default What are DBA slotted rotors like?

Are they any good? I was under the impression they are one of the best brands on the market for the price?

Also are Bendix CT's (the new ones) compatible with these rotors?

I have DBA Street Series slotted rotors all round. They are the most basic in the DBA slotted line-up but seem decent a year or so on, and are really all I could justify and afford at the time. If you have twin piston brakes (I don't lol) and a bit more than the $100 - $120 per disc budget of the Street Series then check out the 4000 series slotted. I prefer slotted because of the looks and that they are less prone to cracking than drilled rotors.

I also run the new Bendix CT's, and they work fine with these rotors. But if I was replacing my pads again, I would get the QFM HPX Police Spec ones from Greg of GSL RallySport. But if you're on a tight budget and don't really want to upgrade the Street Series and CT's will be fine

i run DBA street series slotted rotors and bendix heavy duty pads on my vy. They seem pretty good and pull up better than the standard stuff that was on it.
    what are CT's exactly,just bendix's general pads?

Yeah the CT's are just the general purpose, standard replacement. But they do have the cool 'Stealth' diamond shaped design. Definitely not the best pad out there though, for the money they could be close, but not so much for performance.

i got a set of the 4000 cross slotted on the front of my ute with bendix ct's (the general pads) and so far their great compared to s**t pads and 13yr old holden rotors. i picked mine up cheap $102 each when they retail between 200-250 each. =D

go to repco and get a price on both the normal slotted and the 4000 series because repco is runnin them out and changin brand so some models are goin cheaper than they should.

    mitch

cross drilled rotors are more prone to crackin under HEAVY breaking as the holes decrease the strength in the rotors.

CT's (or some name very similar) are the new Bendix pads available from Autobarn. I just put a set on the rear of the VY. Supposed to be ceramic, no bedding in, low dust, no squeel. So far I've been happy with them, going to do the front pads next.

Thinking of going the DBA slotted rotors soon, when I can afford 'em!

I'd go the 4000's, got them for the front of my VX SS cost me 90 bucks a disc from Repco, they have a lot more bite and look a whole lot better than the stock discs IMO.
