    hey guys forums looks good alot of great info n i havent had chance to look thru it all as of yet but i would really like to ask a few newbie questions , ive bin building rotors for a years and ive finnaly got around to buying my first V8 ! yes i know *i see the light* all you jokers haha and im just wondering whats the ussual buisness when coming to big cam and heads any info to help out a newb would be apreciated and sorry if this is allready some where on the forum but theres just to many to look thru and read :P , my cars a VT series2 so its a gen3 YEOW! im lookin to go as big as i can basically and rebuild the bottom end later down the track once the top half is finished ! cheerz !

    have a look at MACE engineering they have all sorts of engine upgrades etc that can suit your needs they are a sponsor on this site.

    What do you want out of the car?

    Auto or manual?

    The LS1s are fairly doughy off the line so you're going to want diff gears, if its an auto you're going to need a high stall. If its an auto you're also going to have to prepare for it to blow into a billion pieces as soon as you put the foot down.

    hehe nah its the 6speed manual , cheers ill have a look , im basically turning it into a pig now its getting black nascar rims hehe also pulling the motor out rebuilding the bottom end n goin as biger cam i can now notmuch point just doin the top if the bottom will die so i have to compare prices . cant wait XD !!

    Wow.... firstly, grammer & punctuation, ever heard of this???

    Secondly what's your budget?

    You can get some serious power gains with FI(Turbo/Supercharger) but don't expect much cash back from $10-15K for a good system and depending on how much boost you run the engine will NOT last long... let alone the gearbox/clutch/diff will suffer as well.

    N/A(Normally Aspirated) you will be looking at TC(Turbo Killer) type cam and the associated head/exhaust/clutch/diff gear changes that coul push you to the >320-330rwkw... again >$10K would be the cost.

    Budget unlimited... LSx iron block, custom build from the gorund up and go nuts with FI + all the other thing associated with high HP cars >$50K.
