Just a little 'fuel' for thought:
A bloke at work has a VZ. The fuel pump crapped itself, so he got a mechanic to fit a new one.
After he picked the car up from mechanic, he found that when there was half a tank of fuel or less the car would stall when performing a right hand turn.
OK so he contacted the mechanic who gave him some speel about,'Coincidence', 'Some other problem', etc.
So the bloke put up with the stalling problem for months, whilst trying to find the cause. I told him it must be a faulty fuel pump.
He recently found out that the new fuel pump was after market (Repco, I think) Apparently non genuine don't have the little 'tank' that holds fuel around the pump.
So if this is the case, then genuine must be the way to go with fuel pumps.
Anyone have a confirmation?
